Roller Lash Review

Hello everyone, I recently purchased the latest benefit mascara, Roller Lash. It was £19.50 from Debenhams and I have decided to write a review to tell you all my opinions.

Before I bought this mascara, I was a fan of the benefit 'they're real', it was defiantly my all time favourite mascara. I wanted to put this to the test and see if it's as good or even better than 'they're real'. The overall packaging of the mascara is so cute and that's what drew my attention to buying it. The mascara claims to grab, separate, lift and hold your lashes. The mascara defiantly fulfils these claims.  It's defiantly worth the £19.50 and as you can see below it separates each of my lashes and gives them amazing volume. It's also waterproof which is amazing in this hot weather. Compared to 'they're real' the packaging is much more exciting and flashy.

Top photo; without mascara
Bottom photo; with one coat of the mascara

The top photo is obviously me without no mascara on, I didn't curl my lashes and only applied one coat, and from this one coat I am rather impressed, each one of my lashes is separated and me eyes appear more open. There are no clumps and if you're looking for a new mascara, I would 100% give this one a try.

The wand is curved and flexible making it easy to coat each lash (and how cute is the handle). Benefits products always have such promising claims which draw you in, and as usual they fulfil these claims. Before I purchased this mascara I read many reviews on blogs and done my research. Overall I am very happy I bought this and I defiantly recommend as it saves me the hassle of curling my lashes!

Thank you for reading, let me know your opinions on this mascara! - Jess x

Mini Haul

Hello everyone, today I am going to show you what I bought on my little shopping trip yesterday. I tried not to spend too much but some how managed to spend a lot!

Beauty
When it comes to makeup I am quite practical, I go shopping knowing what I want in mind but ended up buying more than what I needed.

Firstly I went into MAC and picked up an eye-shadow in the shade 'Tempting', it's a gorgeous bronze shade, which I have been loving recently, It's very pigmented and I can't wait to use it. Next, I picked up a MAC paint pot in the shade 'Bare Study', I have been wanting this for a while as I have heard great reviews on it and also am very excited to use it. I got a free sample of the MAC mascara which I have tried and it's super lengthening and separates each lash. I also picked up a MAC lipstick in the shade 'crosswires'. From boots, I picked up a primer, I haven't tried anything like this before, it's in a solid form and I'm not too keen on it. When it comes to eyebrows my game is weak, so I picked up the brow archery, and it has changed my eyebrows, they look much fuller but not unnatural. Lastly I picked up the Loreal Lumi Magic highlighting pen. For the price of £8.99 this is quite a small product but it is so creamy and easy to blend!

Skincare

When it comes to skincare, I'm all for trying new products. From boots i picked up the Liz Earle cleanse and polish which I have wanted for so long and had to pick it up! One of my all time favourite products in the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, I picked up the travel size as it is more practical for travelling in the summer. I'm a bit late on the band wagon with this but I picked up the Lush tea tree toner water, I've heard great reviews on this and will let you know how I get on. I picked up a face mask from the witch hazel boots range, I have had this before and it's such a good face mask. Lastly. I got the Malin+Goetz trio, I got these free in ELLE magazine. Honestly, that's why I bought the magazine.

Clothes and Accesories

clothes and accessories. Surprisingly, I didn't see much I liked, but managed to find a few things. Firstly I bought a check shirt from Jack Wills, it was half price in the sale and I think it's perfect for summer when you don't want to wear a thick layer but do want to wear something. I also picked up a floral lace tee shirt from Topshop (which was £12 in the sale!). I also picked up a holographic make up bag from topshop whcih was £5. I love this as I was getting bored of my old makeup bag, It's not too big but big enough for my essential makeup.

Shoes

Lastly, I picked up these shoes which I have fell in love with! These were £15 reduced from £35.00, I was going to pay £35 but was so surprised at the price of £15!!, these re amazing quality and I have not stopped wearing them since!

Hope you enjoyed my mini haul -Jess x

What's in my makeup bag?

WHAT'S IN MY MAKE-UP BAG?

Hello everyone, for my first post I decided to show you what I carry in my makeup bag. I reading these types of blog posts so I hope you enjoy!

This is my make up bag, It's the Zoella beauty makeup bag, i love the design and the material! if you spill anything on it, it's so easy to just wipe off and keep clean.

1//Maybelline Baby Skin Primer; This primer is defiantly my favourite primer! It leaves my skin so soft and my foundation glide on and stay put, as well as reducing my pores.
2//Benefit Porefessional Pro Balm Primer; This is my all time favourite primer, if I'm going out for a day and want my make up to stay on  all day, I will use this, It's also very lightweight.
3// Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation; This is holy grail foundation! I struggle to find a foundation that matches my skin shade and this matches it perfectly, it has a medium coverage but defiantly can be built up to a full coverage
4//Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer; I'm pretty sure you've heard the hype about this concealer, The coverage is amazing, but it tends to crease under my eyes so I only use this for blemishes.
5//Mac Pro longwear Concealor; This concealer was the first high end product I ever bought and ever since I have gone back and re bought it, a beauty must have for me!
6//Bourjois Bronzer and Highlighter Duo; I'm not too keen on the highlighter part of this duo but I love the bronzer, due to having pale skin it is quite hard to find a bronzer that doesn't look orange
7//Sleek Blusher; I have this blusher in the shade 'Flamingo' it's such a shimmery blusher and have to apply it sparingly, but nether the less, I love it
8//Benefit High Beam; As well as my foundation, this highlighter is a staple in my makeup bag, it perfectly highlights my cheek and brow bones, It looks so radiant on any skin tone!
9//Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder; This powder is so affordable! The powders from Rimmel are honestly amazing and defiantly mattify my skin and keep my makeup on my face
10&11// Maybelline Color Tattoo; When it comes to they eye-shadow department I am defiantly lacking in eye shadows, I love the consistency of these and they apply so easily, deficiently recommend.
12&20// Model CO volumeyes mascara & Benefit Bad Gal Lash; My eyelashed are pretty non existent, so when a mascara claims to lengthen my lashes extremely I will buy it, these really help to separate and volumize each lash.
13//Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara; When it comes to eyebrows I'm too scared I will over fill them and they'll look unnatural, but this just helps to fill in any spars areas (naturally!)
14//  I used to refer to these as the devils tool! I was so scared they'll rip my eyelashes out, but once I used them I realised how stupid I was being and I use these before applying my mascara for extra length. (mine are from Primark £1!)
15//EOS Lipbalm; At first i was very hesitant to buying one of these as they're £6.50, and I'm used to using my vaselline lip balm which was less than half the price. I'm not too keen on this lip balm but it does the job!
16//Mac Lipstick; This is in the shade 'Modesty' and it's the perfect nude shade! It's a creamsheen so it doesn't dry out my lips and gives them a shiny finish.
17//Darphin Ideal Resource Anti-dark Circle Eye Illuminator; If i had to describe this product in one sentence it'd be a little goes a long way, this is a sample version and I am contemplating buying the full version (even though it's £44!)
18//MUA Lip Liner; This is in the shade 'caramel nought', it isn't available online. I picked this up for £1 and matches my Mac lipstick perfectly.
19//Too Faced colour bomb; This is in the shade 'Bigger Berry' and I don't tend to wear it in the summer as it is quite dark.

I am a sucker for brushes and love collecting them, these are the ones I keep in my make up bag;
(Left to right)
Real Techniques blush brush, Real Techniques foundation brush, Real Techniques expert face brush, Real Techniques Bold Metals 201 Pointed Crease Brush, Eco Tools Concealer Brush.

Thank You, Hope you enjoyed
